TNEB (Tamil Nadu Electricity Board) acts as the major energy provider and distributor since 1957. TNEB Ltd., has two subsidiary companies namely, Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Ltd. (TANTRANSCO) and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. (TANGEDCO) as per the mandatory requirements of the Electricity Act 2003.
All over 2.7 crore LT consumers are benefitted by introducing this TANGEDCO mobile app. This application was launched by the Electricity Minister, P.Thangamani. By using this, the users can easily pay the EB bills online.

GET STARTED WITH TNEB Mobile App:
Step 1: Go to Google Play Store and search for “TANGEDCOmobileapp”. Choose TANGEDCO mobile app (official).
Step 2: click on the download button.
Step 3: once it is downloaded, it automatically gets installed. Then select open.
Step 4: Click on “Allow” option to manage phone calls while using this application.
Step 5: on the appearing prompt, click on “Allow” button to access media and files on your device.
Step 6: Now, it’s time to login. If you have already registered, then you can enter the username and password directly and click “Login” button else you have click on “SIGNUP” button for new registration.
Step 7: Next step for new users is to enter the consumer number and click on the “CHECK” button
Step 8: It automatically displays the details of the entered consumer number. If the details are correct then Click on the “CONFIRM”.
Step 9: In this step, the user have to enter their username,password,email ID, mobile number and click on “Register”. An OTP will be send to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on “ACTIVATE”.
Step 10: Registration process is over and now you can login by entering username and password.
Step 11: A page appears with a prompt to enter 4- digit PIN inorder to make your mobile app safe. Enter the PIN number and click on “SET PIN”.
After this step, the users can also update their profile by selecting “OK” in the Update Profile Message Prompt.
Step 12: Finally, it’s time for paying your bills through your payment gateway, net banking. Through this you can pay quickly and safely.
Step 13: once the payment process is completed, then it displays a prompt contains success message and the bill payment receipt can be viewed.
